Church Mead Management Committee Responsible to the Parish Council, our committee looks after the public land known as Church Mead, in the centre of our village the equivalent of the village green. We are a group of a dozen or so volunteers who want to make sure that the Mead is safe, well-maintained and useful to the parishioners. On Church Mead there is a well-equipped playground, a sports field with cricket square, a sports pavilion which has seen better days, several benches, a picnic area, beautiful trees and the best view in the Mendips. Our annual fireworks party is a chance for the whole village to get
together to enjoy spectacular pyrotechnics, a huge bonfire and popular
barbecue.
